The PlayStation 3 has the ability to access streaming media from computer systems. Usually, computers need specific software to host the media and allow the PS3 to access it. The iTunes software on your computer allows you to set up sharing so the PS3 can access all of your music, videos, and TV shows in the program's library. Once you set up the sharing feature on your iTunes software, you will be able to access the songs and other files from your PS3.

Open the iTunes software on your computer and click the "Home Sharing" icon on the left side of the software window.

Select your "Apple ID" field and enter your Apple ID into the field. Click on the "Password" button and enter your password into the field.

Click the "Create Home Share" button. The files are now available for sharing.

Go to your PS3 and scroll through the home screen to the "Music" icon. Scroll down to the "iTunes" icon and press the "X" button.

Scroll through your music and press the "X" button to play the file.
