Adobe Dreamweaver is a powerful and flexible tool for the creation of websites. In some cases, the data or information presented on a page is best displayed as a spreadsheet, chart or graph. In other cases, the data must be taken directly from a large Excel document to ensure accurate portrayal. Whatever the case may be, it is possible to import an Excel document directly into Dreamweaver on the Windows operating system.

Save your Excel spreadsheet as an Excel document.
Open Dreamweaver, then click "File" and "Open." Navigate to the website page you want to add the Excel document to, then click "Open."
Click the "Design View" icon in the top left of the window, then click to place the cursor at the location you want to import the document.
Click "File," "Import" and "Excel Document." The Excel sheet will be placed on your page at the cursor location.
Tips and warnings
- Microsoft Office documents are only directly importable in Dreamweaver for Windows. Mac users may use a workaround such as saving the Excel document as a website or a PDF document and placing it in the page.
