Open a Web browser and go to the support section of the Dell website (dell.com). Type "dell 380 precision bios" into the search bar in the top-right corner, and then click on the magnifying glass icon to search. Click the "Dell Precision System BIOS, A09" link from the results displayed, and then click on the "WS380A09.EXE" link to go to the Windows BIOS update utility.
Click the "Download" now button, and select your desktop as the save location in the file download box.
Double-click on the downloaded file named "WS380A09.EXE," that you saved to the desktop. This will launch the Precision 380 BIOS update utility.
Click the "Continue" button to start the BIOS update process.
Click the "OK" button to confirm that the update utility can close all windows, restart the computer and flash the BIOS. Once the BIOS update has completed the computer will automatically restart, and will show BIOS version "A09" on the start-up screen indicating the update was successful.
