How to Take a Screenshot on a Toshiba Laptop

Updated April 17, 2017

If you need to capture an image of your Toshiba laptop's screen, use the Windows screenshot function. Screenshots can allow you to show a friend how to use a specific program: take multiple screenshots of the same program to guide the friend in the right direction. A screenshot of an online map is useful when giving directions to new destinations. Screenshots can also aid in troubleshooting: taking a screenshot of an error on your Toshiba computer can help tech support quickly identify the problem.

Access the screen that you want to save as a screenshot.

Hold down the "Alt" key and press "Print Screen."

Click the "Start" button. Type "Paint" into the search box. Click on the "Paint" entry that appears under "Programs."

Click the "Paste" button in Paint. The screenshot appears on the screen.

Click the "Paint" menu button. Click "Save As." Navigate to the folder in which you want to store the screenshot. Click "Save" to create the screenshot image.
