How to Put Photos on a Kindle

You can do more with the Amazon Kindle than read e-books. You can surf the Web, connect to Facebook, listen to music and view pictures. If you have a picture in .jpg, .png, .bmp or .gif format, you can add that picture to your Kindle, and then access the picture from your Kindle's Home screen.

    Press the "Menu" button from the Home screen. Click "Settings."

    Locate your Kindle's e-mail under "Device Email." It is "<your user name>@kindle.com."

    Open your e-mail program on your computer.

  4. 4

    Compose a new e-mail message. Enter "<your user name>@free.kindle.com."

  5. 5

    Attach a picture file to your e-mail message.

  6. 6

    Enter a subject and body message, if this is required by your e-mail service.

  7. 7

    Send the message. The picture will download to your Kindle in a few minutes.
