How to Resize Models in SketchUp 7

Google SketchUp 7 allows you to download two-dimensional or three-dimensional components to place in your SketchUp project. Each model comes in a default size. You can use the scale tool to resize models in SketchUp. Each new model that you add of the same type will be the size of the original model.

    Click the "Tools" menu at the top of the Google SketchUp window and select "Scale."

    Click the model that you want to resize.

    Click and hold one of the green squares at the edge of the model, then drag the mouse to resize the model.

    Release the mouse button once the model is at the desired size.

    Click the "Tools" menu and select a new tool to leave Scale mode.

Tips and warnings

  • The Scale icon doesn't appear on the default toolbar. It appears on the Large Tool Set toolbar. Click "View" in the menu, select "Toolbars," then click "Large Tool Set" to enable the Large Tool Set toolbar.
