Bows add pzazz to presents. With a little practice and the right materials, learning how to tie a simple bow on a present is easy. Any type of ribbon will work as long as it is long enough to create the size of bow you wish to make.

Things you need
- Double-sided tape
Cut the ribbon used to tie the bow. The size is up to you. Larger bows need more ribbon. It is better to have too much ribbon than not enough.
Form two loops of equal size towards the centre of the ribbon. Determine the size of the bow when creating the loops.
Knot the loops. Cross the loops, right over left, and bring the right loop underneath the left loop. Pull the right loop through the hole.
Adjust the loops until they are even. Trim the ends of the ribbon with the scissor. Cutting the ribbon at an angle gives a nice look.
Use double-sided tape to stick the bow onto the gift. Cut off enough tape to stick to the back of the knot. Press firmly onto the gift.
