Setting a PIN password on your Samsung SGH-F480 cellphone is an effective way of keeping your data and contacts safe. However, if you forget your PIN or inherit a Samsung SGH-F480 phone from someone else who has set their own PIN, you will need to reset the phone to use its features again. You can do this by entering a special code, but you will need your cell's IMEI number to obtain this code legally.

Call your network operator's customer care line to obtain your eight digit Subsidy Unlock code. Write down the code the customer service representative gives you for later use.

Turn off your phone, slide off the back cover and remove the SIM card. Place the back cover back into position, without the SIM card installed, and turn the phone back on.
