How to Connect a MacBook Pro to a Panasonic Viera

Updated July 20, 2017

Even if you have the largest MacBook Pro model, chances are the screen on your Panasonic Viera is larger and better suited for multiple viewers. Luckily your MacBook Pro comes with a Mini DisplayPort to free your digital videos and photos from the limits of your laptop's hardware. The connection will take only a second or two and you can start enjoying your favourite videos, pictures and websites on your TV in no time at all.

Plug the DisplayPort end of the adaptor into the port on your MacBook Pro. The port is found on the left side of the computer and is accompanied by a small icon of a monitor.

Plug one end of the HDMI cable into the "HDMI" port on the adaptor.

Insert the other end of the HDMI cable into the HDMI port on the rear of the Panasonic Viera. Your MacBook will immediately recognise the connection and begin sending the video and audio feed to the TV.
