How Do I Cancel a Backup in Plesk?

Updated April 17, 2017

Parallel Plesk provides users with the option to cancel a scheduled backup while it is taking place. Plesk is used by web hosts for maintaining websites, e-mail accounts and user accounts. Scheduled backups can be configured within the program so that data is automatically stored, reducing the risk of loss. In order to cancel the backup process, the "Stop Backup" option must be selected from the Backup Manager. Cancel a Plesk backup in less than five minutes.

Open your Internet browser and enter your Plesk control panel URL into the address bar at the top of the screen, then press "Enter." Type in your e-mail address, password and preferred interface language, then click "Sign In."

Click "System," then select "Back Up" under the "Domain" section on the left side of the screen. The Backup Manager screen will now appear, providing you with controls over how and when the scheduled backups will occur.

Select "Stop-Backup" from the list of options that appear in the Backup Manager. The domain's backup process will be cancelled.
