How to Find a MAC Address with HTC Desire

Updated February 21, 2017

Like computers and other devices that can connect on a network, the HTC Desire has a Media Access Control, or MAC, address. You may need to know the MAC address of your HTC Desire to connect to a wireless router, depending on the level of security set on the router. HTC designed the Desire smartphone so you can access the MAC address information through the phone's menu system.

Press the "Home" button, which is the button on the bottom of the phone with a picture of a house on it, to access the HTC Desire home screen.

Push the "Menu" button, which is located on the bottom of the phone to the right of the "Home" button.

Touch "Settings" and then "About Phone."

Tap "Hardware Information" to view the MAC address on your HTC Desire.
