How to Remove an eBay Token

Updated February 21, 2017

An eBay token is a security feature that allows third-party vendors to access your eBay account for a limited purpose. For example, several auction-listing applications created by third-party developers allow you to perform eBay actions directly from the program. These apps require an eBay token to access your account. You can remove eBay tokens at any time through your eBay account. Once you remove a token, the third-party vendor will no longer have access to your eBay account.

Direct your Web browser to the eBay.com home page.

Click the "MY eBay" link.

Enter your eBay user ID and password. Click the "Sign in" button.

Select the "Account" tab.

Click the "Site Preferences" option and select "Third Party Authorizations."

Click the "Remove" link next to the name of the token that you want to remove from your eBay account. Confirm that you want to permanently remove the token. The token is removed immediately when you click the "Confirm" button.
