The Facebook social networking site is dedicated to providing its users with a means of effectively communicating with other Facebook users. Since text-based conversations often lack an adequate way to convey emotion, many Facebook users use emoticons to express how they are feeling. If you want to insert a smiley face emoticon into the Facebook Chat window, you can send an animated smiley face. If you insert a smiley face emoticon into a Wall post or Status Update, however, the emoticon will not appear in its animated form. Either way, if you want to put a smiley face emoticon on Facebook, you can do so in a few simple steps.
