Those who need a better way to find users they know on LinkedIn can connect their Gmail accounts to the service. By using your Gmail account with LinkedIn, you can find your Gmail contacts on the service and add them as new connections.

Visit the LinkedIn website, at LinkedIn.com and sign in to your account.
Click the "Add Connections" link at the top right-hand corner of the page.
Type your Gmail address into the "Your e-mail:" field, and type your Gmail password into the "Email password:" field. Click the "Continue" button. A list of Gmail contacts who are also on LinkedIn will appear.
Check the box next to the Gmail contact you'd like to connect with on LinkedIn; then click "Add Connection(s)."
