GParted is free, open-source disk-management software available for many different platforms. GParted is also packaged as a bootable Live CD based on the GNU/Linux operating system. GParted can read and modify different filesystems, including Linux-based EXT, Windows NTFS and Macintosh HFS+. For example, GParted can create, delete and resize many different filesystem types. You can boot a GParted disc on a Mac to repartition the Mac's internal hard drive or any external drive connected to the computer.
