How to disable the trend micro client server security agent

Updated March 23, 2017

The Trend Micro Client Server Security Agent (CSA) program is a feature of the Trend Micro Worry-Free Business Security (WFBS) suite. The CSA application prevents viruses and malware from being installed on computers on the network. However, sometimes the administrator might need to disable the CSA program to install legitimate software. The CSA software must be disabled on each instance of the Trend Micros desktop client. To disable the CSA program, log on with administrative privileges to each desktop where the CSA client is installed.

Open the WFBS program on the desktop computer.

Click "Security Settings" on the top navigation menu.

Click "Group (Configure)," and then click "Client Privileges."

Select the "Normal" option in the "Client Security" section. The desktop CSA client is disabled.

To re-enable the client, perform the same steps but select "High" in the "Client Security" section.
