How to Put an MP3 on Facebook

Facebook does not have a built-in audio uploading tool for sharing MP3s on user profiles. To share an MP3 on Facebook, you must register for a free audio hosting service, such as SoundCloud, Chirbit or Internet Archive. All of these sites offer hosting of MP3 files and will create streaming Flash players to play the file. However, as of May 2011, SoundCloud is the only online sound-hosting service that will embed streaming Flash audio players directly into your profile. With other hosting services, your friends must visit an external web page to listen to the audio files.
