The computer game "Minecraft" uses specialised algorithms to generate a virtual world that's theoretically unlimited in its expanse. After you've been playing "Minecraft" for a while, you may find that the world has grown so much that it becomes excessively time-consuming to travel from one part of the world to another. To cut down on travel time, use land or water vehicles to move around the world. If this still isn't fast enough, download a third-party "Minecraft" client that lets you increase your character's running speed.

Build mine cart tracks to connect important landmarks with one another. To make tracks, place six iron ingots and one stick in an "H" shape in a crafting bench, using the stick for the crossbar of the "H." Lay the tracks along the path that you want to travel quickly, then build minecarts for it. For a passenger minecart, place five iron ingots in a "U" shape in a crafting bench; to make a powered minecart, place a completed minecart in the lower centre slot of the crafting bench, then place a furnace directly above it. Place the two carts on the track, setting the powered cart behind the passenger cart, then right-click the passenger cart to go for a ride.
Travel by boat. Building a boat allows you to move much faster than the normal walking or swimming speeds. To make a boat, place five wooden planks in a "U" shape in the crafting bench. Carry the boat to the shore, then place it in the water. Right-click the boat to get it, then use the keyboard to move as you normally would. If you need to move between two points that are not adjacent to the water, dig a canal to connect them, then use the pail to fill it with water. Use caution when travelling fast by boat: if you hit the shore at too great a speed, the boat breaks up into planks and sticks.
Register for a World of Minecraft account, then download and install the "World of Minecraft Game Client" from the "Downloads" section of the website. This program allows you to increase your character's running speed. Launch the client, then enter your login and connection information. After "Minecraft" starts up, press and hold the "Ctrl" key to double your character's movement speed. Hold "Shift" to make your character move five times faster. To allow your character to move through walls and other objects, press the "F2" key.
