If you sent the wrong FedEx tracking number to your customer and need to update it, don't worry. You can alter the FedEx Magento Tracking URL and your customer will automatically be notified of the changes via e-mail directly from Magento's transactional e-mail module. Correcting the FedEx Magento Tracking URL will display the correct shipping status.

- Access to Admin Panel
Log into your admin panel with your user name and password. Many people refer to the "Admin Panel" as the "Back End."
Hover your cursor over "Sales" and select "Shipments."
Find your customer in the list. If you have many customers, use the search feature. Click the "View" button.
Delete the old FedEx tracking number under "Shipping and Tracking Information." It should be directly underneath "Action."
Add a new FedEx tracking number by selecting Federal Express in the drop-down menu and input the correct FedEx tracking number under the column "number." Once you click on the "Add" button, Magento will automatically send an e-mail to the customer with the new FedEx tracking number.
