Open your Web browser and go to the Dell Vostro 220 BIOS download page.
Click the "Download" button and save the file to your computer. If you are downloading the file on the Vostro, save it to the desktop. If not, save the file to a USB flash drive. Unplug the flash drive once the download is complete, then plug it into the USB port on the Vostro 220.
Close the browser window and all the other programs you have open.
Double-click the file you downloaded and click the "Continue" button. A warning message will appear stating the computer will reboot.
Click "OK" to flash the BIOS.
