Turn on or restart the Dell D505 computer.

Press the "F8" key repeatedly as the system is starting up. Stop pressing the key when the "Advanced Boot Options" screen appears.

Click "Repair your computer." Click "Next."

Click the icon next to "Factory Image Restore." Click "Next."

Click the check box on the confirmation screen. Click "Next."

Click "Finish" to restart the computer when the restore process is complete.
