How to Resume a Broken MediaFire Download

If your file download from the MediaFire file hosting service is interrupted due to Internet service disruptions or a crashed browser, you can restart it with relative ease. MediaFire supports resuming of disconnected downloads by Web browsers that are able to resume partial file downloads. The ability to resume interrupted downloads can come in handy if you have an unstable Internet connection or intermittent service.

    Internet Explorer

    Open the Internet Explorer browser and navigate to the MediaFire page containing your download.

    Click on the download link to resume your download. When presented with the "Save File" dialogue window, click "Save." Internet Explorer will restart the download from the point at which it was interrupted.

    Wait for the download to finish completely. Click "Open Folder" to view the downloaded file in the "Downloads" folder.

    Open the Firefox browser. Click "Tools" in the menu bar and select "Downloads" in the drop-down menu.

    Locate the download you want to resume in the "Downloads" window. Right-click the download and select "Retry" or "Resume" from the pop-up menu.

    Wait for the download to finish completely. Right-click the download and select "Open Containing Folder."
