Things you need
- Floral wire
Mold gum paste into the desired shape.
Stick a floral wire through the bottom of the flower, like a stem, while the gum paste is still soft.
Press and twist the bottom of the flower in place around the wire. Repeat this process with the rest of the flowers and allow the paste to dry. Unlike fondant and marzipan, gum paste will dry hard and crisp.
Wrap the flower stems around each other to create a flower cluster arrangement.
Insert the wire into your cake.
