The Samsung YP-T9 MP3 player may not always function as is should when playing back your music, listening to the radio or watching videos. Common problems with the YP-T9 are the player freezing and the buttons not working. You can reset the YP-T9 when any problems occur without fear of losing your data. The reset forces the MP3 player to shut down and restart; it does not delete your music or video files.

Instructions

  1. 1

Move the "Hold" switch on the upper left side of the YP-T9 down to turn off the button lock. When the "Hold" switch is pressed up the buttons do not work.

  2. 2

Locate the "A-B" and "Menu" buttons on the right side of the MP3 player. The YP-T9 has four buttons on the right side of the device. The "A-B" button is the first button from the top of the player and the "Menu" button is the third button down from the top.

  3. 3

Press and hold the "A-B" and "Menu" buttons simultaneously until the screen turns off on the YP-T9. The device will turn on again by itself after it resets.
