    Launch Dreamweaver and open the HTML document. In Code View , click to place the cursor in position for inserting the scrolling text box.

    Click "Insert" and "Forms," and then choose "Textarea" from the drop-down menu. In the next window, complete the attributes as desired. The "<textarea>" data is inserted into your page.
