An One for All remote control is a universal remote that is compatible with TVs, DVD players and other similar devices. As with other universal remote controls, the One for All remote does not come programmed to control devices in your home. You must program the One for All remote to use it with a TV that you own. Entering TV brand codes into the remote's memory is not required, however, as all One for All remotes have a "code search" programming mode.
