Sometimes, a person needs a costume that looks like food. Whether you are making a costume for someone who is playing a part in a play, has to dress up as his favourite food or simply wants to dress up as a type of food, you might need to make a costume that looks like a boiled egg. While making such a costume might seem difficult, it is actually quite easy. Simply make the costume like a sandwich board and have it resemble a boiled egg, sliced in half.

Instructions

  1. 1

Draw a large egg shape on a piece of cardboard. The cardboard egg shape should be large enough so that it reaches from about the chest to the knees of the person for whom you are creating the costume.

  2. 2

Cut the oval shape out of the piece of cardboard.

  3. 3

Place the cardboard egg shape on top of another piece of cardboard. Trace around it so that the other piece of cardboard is the same exact size. Cut out the second egg shape.

  4. 4

Paint both egg shapes with white paint. Allow the paint to dry completely.

  5. 5

Draw a circle on the centre of one of the cardboard shapes. Paint the interior of the circle with yellow paint so that it looks like the yolk of a boiled egg.

  6. 6

Cut two strips of white cloth that is about 2 inches wide and long enough to reach from the costume wearer's collar bone to shoulder blade.

  7. 7

Super glue the white strips to the back sides of the cardboard egg shapes that you cut out. They will serve as the straps for the boiled egg sandwich board costume.

  8. 8

Allow the super glue to dry before wearing the costume.
