Buying a ring is a big investment, so you want to make sure you get one that is the perfect size. The most accurate ring measurements are taken by jewellers, although you can get a good idea of your ring size by measuring your own fingers. Take the measurements in the afternoon and when your hands are at room temperature. Your finger size fluctuates depending on the temperature and time of day.

Tips and warnings

  • If you already have a ring that fits perfectly, use the chart in the resources section to find your ring size. The circle on the chart equals the inside diameter of the ring.
  • Measuring your finger when it is very hot or very cold will render an inaccurate reading.
