A third-party application, iBlacklist is available from the Cydia store. To use this application you must have a jailbroken iPhone. The iBlacklist application is a call blocker. This means you can block pesky old girlfriends, bill collectors and telemarketers. Once you set up a number on a blacklist, you can set an action. This action automatically goes into effect when the number calls your iPhone. You can send it straight to voicemail, busy signal, accept and hangup, no action or just accept.

Skill level:

  1. 1

    Open "iBlacklist" on your iPhone.

  2. 2

Click on "Blacklists" from the list of options.

  3. 3

Click on "General BL" from the list. This is the default blacklist. You can also press the "Add new Blacklist" if you want multiple lists.

  4. 4

Click the "+" button in the top right corner to add a number to the blacklist. Choose how you want to enter your number. You can add from your contacts, recent calls or recent messages.

  5. 5

Choose what you want to block -- calls and/or messages. Press the toggle buttons on or off to edit these settings.

  6. 6

Change your action to what you want your iPhone to do when it gets an incoming call from a number on your blacklist.

  7. 7

Click the "Save" button in the top right corner.
