The Siberian husky is a breed of dog that closely resembles fellow Canidae family wolves, but the husky is friendlier and serves many duties. Its strong build and thick coat gives it the ability to work harder in colder climates as it was originally bred by Siberian nomads. Drawing a realistic rendition of a husky may seem like a difficult task, but with patience and a little practice, it can be a fun and educational activity that will improve your drawing quality.

- Husky picture
Draw a medium-sized circle on the piece of paper to represent the husky's head. Sketch a smaller circle inside the larger one to create a rough draft of the dog's snout.
Study the lines of the husky's body and how the dog's posture is represented in the picture you are using as a reference guide. Sketch the basic shape of the husky's body using light pencil marks until you are confident with the outline. Contour its feet, back and tail appropriately.
Divide the husky's head in four equal sections to assist you while drawing its individual facial features. Draw triangular shapes on the top of the head to represent its ears. Situate the ears proportionally on both sides of the vertical guideline of the dog's face. Use light pencil marks through this process.
Draw two oval shapes in the middle of the husky's head to depict the eyes. Sketch out two smaller circles inside these ovals to act as the pupils. Check the eyes in the picture with your drawing and clean up any inconsistencies you find between the two.
Sketch a small nose that connects to the cheeks of the dog's mouth. Use light pencil strokes until you have a defined direction in the lower face of the dog. Draw horizontal lines outward from the snout to create the dog's thin whiskers.
Outline the husky's body and detailed features with an ink pen to give your drawing a distinguished and bold look. Move the pen over each of the pencil lines carefully, ensuring that you smoothly trace over everything with little to no mistakes. Let the ink dry, then erase all of the remaining pencil marks.
