How to Finalize a Disc in Imgburn

Updated July 20, 2017

"IMGburn" is a freeware CD- and DVD-burning and copying tool made by the same programmer who created the old DVD Decrypter tool. IMGburn also has the ability to make disk image copies of your physical disks on your computer's hard drive. Finalising a disk means that, once you burn it, you will not be able to add any other data to that disk.

Launch IMGburn.

Select your burning method -- either building a new data disc or burning an image file to a CD or DVD -- in the main IMGburn menu.

Create your disk as you normally would, either by adding files to be burnt, or by selecting an image file to burn to disk.

Insert your blank CD or DVD into your computer's CD/DVD-R/RW drive. Make sure this drive is selected as the "Destination" drive.

Burn your CD or DVD. IMGburn will automatically finalise your disk once the burning process is complete.
