Facebook users can "like" the comments of their friends, allowing a thumbs up icon to appear on the comments -- but if there is a comment they don't like, there isn't a feature within Facebook that gives users the ability to "dislike" with a thumbs down. However, if you're one of the many Facebook users who wishes they could dislike comments with a thumbs down, there is an add-on available for Mozilla's Firefox that was created with you in mind. Once it's installed, the free add-on creates a thumbs down button for you to use on your Facebook account.

Instructions

  1. 1

Open the Firefox browser on your computer. If you don't have Firefox installed, you'll need to download it from the Firefox website and install it on your computer prior to getting the "thumbs down" add-on.

  2. 2

Open the "Tools" menu at the top of your Firefox browser and click on "Add-Ons."

  3. 3

Click on the "Get Add-ons" icon in the Add-Ons display window that appears on your screen.

  4. 4

Type "Facebook Dislike" into the search box. The add-on you're looking for will appear in the search results box. If it doesn't show up immediately, click on the "Show all results" link at the bottom of the box.

  5. 5

Click on the green "Add to Firefox" button to install the add-on. Once installed, the thumbs down icon will be available so you can dislike comments on Facebook.
