If you want to show your boyfriend you appreciate him but you don't want to break the bank, consider making him a card. You can give cards for holidays, special occasions or just for fun. Use your knowledge of your boyfriend's personality, as well as a few simple supplies, to make a card he will really like. Add a poem or a personalised message to make the card much more special than one you could buy at a store.

Things you need
- Card stock
- Spray adhesive
- Decorations (skeleton leaf, mulberry paper, beads)
- Metallic pen
Choose a light-coloured card stock. Fold it in half to make a card.
Decorate the front of the card. Use simple decorations to create a card that is more masculine. Here are three ideas, but feel free to get creative and experiment.
Tear a small square or rectangle of mulberry paper about 2 inches by 2 inches. Mulberry paper is very thin and looks elegant when placed on a card. Spray the paper with adhesive and place a skeleton leaf on the paper. Glue the paper to the front of the card with the leaf side down, so it shows through the paper.
Spray adhesive onto a small square of mulberry paper in a masculine colour, such as blue, brown, black, orange or grey, and glue the paper to the front of the card. Add bead accents to the mulberry paper by spraying them with adhesive and gluing them down. Allow to dry.
Create a mosaic effect on the front of the card by gluing squares of mulberry paper in different shades of similar colours, such as blue and grey.
Write a poem, favourite quote or greeting on the inside of the card with a metallic silver or gold pen. Keep it simple, and your boyfriend will find it charming and cute. Sign your name at the bottom.
