The ShoreTel 230 is a VoIP telephone that features three-line support, built-in Ethernet port, speakerphone, eight feature keys with varying options (such as mute, voice mail and redial) and G.711u/a, and G.729a codec support. Resetting the ShoreTel 230 may resolve commonly encountered issues such as blank display and key unresponsiveness. There are no long-term effects to resetting the phone.

    Place the ShoreTel 230 on the hook.

    Press the "Mute" button on the left side of the phone. The light on the front of the phone will be off.

    Dial "RESET" on the keypad and press the # button. After a few seconds, the phone will reboot.
