Planning a special night for your girlfriend is an excellent way to show her how important she is to you and make her feel special. Whether you are planning the night to celebrate a special date, such as an anniversary or Valentines day, or just to let your girlfriend know that you care, spending a night tending to her needs and romancing her does not have to be an intimidating task.

  1. 1

Send flowers to your girlfriend during the day, with a card telling her that you have a special night planned for her. On the card, invite her to your place at a certain time.

  2. 2

Set the mood with candles and soft music.

  3. 3

Prepare her favourite meal. Home-cooked food is a special touch. If cooking is stressful for you, order her favourite meal and plate it nicely at home.

  4. 4

Watch a movie together, providing her with multiple choices so she gets to watch the movie that she most wants to see.

  5. 5

Give your girlfriend a gift. The gift can be a piece of expensive jewellery or a more personal gift, such as a framed picture of the two of you from early in your relationship.

  6. 6

Give your girlfriend a back or foot massage with scented oils.

  7. 7

Run a bath for your girlfriend after the massage, using scented salts in a fragrance she enjoys. This will allow her to relax as she cleans off oils from the massage.

Tips and warnings

  • Remember to keep the conversation on her or special memories of the two of you. Compliment her on all of the things you love about her.
