How to Indent Text in Facebook Notes

Updated February 21, 2017

The Facebook social-networking site allows you to create and publish notes, which are often used to express longer bits of text than what a normal status update can post. Notes also are used to share news and stories in which family and friends can be tagged. Special formatting options, such as bolding, underlining, and indenting, allow you to customise the way a note looks.

Log in to your Facebook account.

Click "Profile" in the upper-right corner of the Facebook page.

Click "Notes" under your profile picture on the left side of the page.

Click the "Write a Note" button in the upper-right part of the page.

Enter your desired note in the main text box.

Add "

" before the text you wish to indent and "
" at the end of the text you wish to indent. For example, if you wish to indent the phrase "Five Ways to Smile," type the following in the note box:

Five Ways to Smile

Click "Save Draft" or "Publish" when your note is complete.
