The likes and interests stored on your Facebook profile are used to suggest similar artists or interests. While Facebook can sometimes suggest something that piques your interest, oftentimes the recommendation is completely unrelated or unwelcome. Rather than simply ignore a recommendation, delete your interests to prevent recommendations from appearing in the side panel of the main Facebook page. Once deleted, recommendations will not appear in the side menu.

Log in to Facebook with your e-mail address and password.
Click "Edit my profile" below your name in the upper-left corner of the browser. Select "Activities and Interests" in the left-side menu.
Click each activity in the Activity section, and select "Remove" to delete the activity from your profile. Click each interest in the Interests section, and select "Remove" to erase your stored interests.
Click "Show other pages" at the bottom of the browser, select "Remove Page" from each page you are linked to. Click "Close" at the bottom of the pop-up window, and select "Save Changes" to apply the new changes to your profile.
