The Blizzard Studios strategy massive multiplayer online title Starcraft draws players from all over the world. One popular tactic to avoid losing at this online game is to use a drop hack. The drop hack allows you to select a player to drop, or expel, from the game whenever you wish. Other players usually frown upon the tactic, but it allows you to avoid losing and lowering your ranking.

Instructions

  1. 1

    Launch Starcraft from the desktop icon or Start menu.

    Click the menu option for multiplayer and log on to Battle.net with your user name and password.

  3. 3

    Push the "Windows" button on the keyboard to minimise Starcraft.

  4. 4

    Open the folder that contains the drop hack files.

  5. 5

    Click on the file named "drophack.xxx" and press "F2."

  6. 6

    Change the ".xxx" to ".dll" and press "ENTER."

    Double-click on the "insect" file to return to the game.

    Select a game from the list and click the button to join.

    Press "ENTER" on the keyboard once the game begins.

    Type "/list" without the quotes to see the numbered list of players in the game.

    Press "ENTER" again and type "/drop #" without the quotes to drop the desired player from the game. Replace the "#" symbol with the number of the player as shown on the list generated in the previous step.

Tips and warnings

  • Use "/qdrop #" if "/drop #" does not work.
