IMVU is a social game and social website. It's used for instant messaging, chatting, and playing online games. Much like other social networks, the accounts on IMVU can be activated and deactivated at the will of the account holder. However, sometimes the deactivated account is cleared by the technical support team in order to provide more room in the server. In this case, a few more steps are required to reactive the previously deactivated account.

Instructions

  1. 1

    Go to the IMVU website (see References 1).

    Attempt to log in to your old IMVU account by clicking "Member Login" at the top right corner of the screen and entering your login information. If the account is only deactivated, this will reactivate the it.

    Go to www.imvu.com/help (if Step 2 doesn't work).

    Select the "click here" button at the top of the page in the grey box.

    Fill in the form with your name, e-mail address and chosen password. This will give you access to IMVU support.

    Select "Request Support" at the top of the page.

  7. 7

    Select the "Submit a Case" link.

    Select "General Support" for Case Category and select "Disabled Account" for General Topics.

    State that you would like to reactivate your old account in the description area. Provide the email address you used with that account as well as your name, date of birth and avatar name.

    Wait for Technical Support to contact you via e-mail when your account has been reactivated or if they need any further information.
