"Dante's Inferno" is a third-person action game based on the first canticle of the "Divine Comedy" by Dante Alighieri. Players take control of a fallen paladin on his journey through the circles of hell. Along the way damned souls called "Shades" are encountered and it is up to players to decide whether or not to absolve them. The fourth circle of hell in the game, "Greed," has three of these damned souls that players can encounter.

Instructions

  1. 1

Play the game until you reach the first save spot, the statue of Beatrice.

  2. 2

Jump across the rotating gears until you are on top of the middle gear. The first damned soul of the level will be visible to your right.

  3. 3

Position your character toward the screen then press the "Jump" button. During the jump, press the button again while holding right. This will cause Dante to perform a double jump and hang onto the ledge where the damned soul is located.

  4. 4

Press "Jump" again to pull Dante onto the ledge and get the damned soul. Jump back down toward the gears and continue left through the gate.

  5. 5

Continue playing until you reach the room with the rotating blades in the middle. Climb up the wall and make your way to the door. The second damned soul is located on a platform to the right. Jump over to reach it.

  6. 6

Play until you reach the fifth save statue for the level (the one just before the boss fight against Dante's father). The third and final damned soul for the level is just left off this area, next to the fountains.

Tips and warnings

  • If you try to get to the first damned soul by doing a double jump directly toward the right, the gear will be in your way. Make sure you jump toward the screen first before doing the second jump.
