Avast! is a computer software company that specialises in Internet security software for home and business use. Avast! Internet security programs include Avast! Free Antivirus, Avast! Pro Antivirus and Avast! Internet Security. In order to detect and remove the latest virus programs Avast! must keep its database up to date with the latest virus definitions. Consequently, these programs download the latest updates automatically by default. You can, however, turn off the automatic updates.
