How to Connect a Sony Bravia HDMI TV to a Laptop

Updated July 20, 2017

Your Sony Bravia TV is not only for watching TV shows and movies, but also serves to display the digital videos saved to your computer's hard drive. Use an HDMI cable to connect your laptop to the input on your Sony Bravia and free your digital files from the restrictions of your smaller laptop screen. HDMI carries both audio and video signals right from your laptop to the TV's speakers and display.

Find the "HDMI IN" port on the rear of the Sony Bravia TV.

Plug one end of the cable into the port on the TV.

Find the "HDMI" port on the side of your laptop, and insert the cable into the port.

Turn on the TV, and press the "Input" button until the image from the computer appears on the Sony Bravia's screen.
