Halloween is a popular time of year for ladies to dress up as the beautiful, yet terrifying undead. Scary dead girl costumes range from elegantly spooky to grotesquely disturbing. Look feminine and terrifying as a zombie bride, an undead cheerleader or the dead mother of a monster foetus. With a little face paint, some outfits easily purchased from a second hand store and some props that you likely have lying around your house, you can dress as a scary dead girl.

Instructions

    Traditional dead girl

  1. 1

Wear a traditionally feminine outfit like a cheerleader costume or a wedding dress. Smear dirt on the outfit and cut jagged rips in the costume.

  2. 2

Paint your face white using a face-painting sponge and water-based face paints. Lightly dab your face with a yellow loaded face-painting sponge. Lightly dab dark grey over the eyes and along the cheek bones. Apply black lipstick and tease your hair. Squeeze fake blood across your neck and as if your neck as been cut. Drip your fake blood starting at the hairline and dripping down the forehead.

  3. 3

Carry a gravestone with your name written on it. Make your gravestone by painting a flat 45 by 75 cm (1.5 by 2.5 foot) piece of polystyrene foam with grey acrylic paint. Use black acrylic paint to write your name on the top of the tombstone. Below write your birthday, a dash and a date from a week before the current date. Then paint R.I.P. at the bottom of the tombstone.

    Pregnant dead girl

  1. 1

Rip the arms and legs off a small plastic doll. There should be a knob of plastic sticking out from the arms and legs. Stick the arm against the belly on the front of a white maternity T-shirt, but hold the arm by the plastic knob on the inside of the T-shirt. Starting mid-string, wrap the string tightly 4 times around the knob poking through the inside of the maternity T-shirt. Tie the ends of the string tightly together. Attach the other arm the same way beside the first arm and attach the two legs below also using the same method.

  2. 2

Wear the T-shirt and make sure that the arms and legs are attached in a way that it looks like the baby has clawed through the belly. If you are not already pregnant, wear a fake pregnant belly or stuff a pillow under your shirt. Paint red paint around where each arm and leg appears to protrude.

  3. 3

Paint your face white with a face-painting sponge loaded with water-based face paints. Lightly dab yellow over the entire face and dark grey over the eyes and along the bottom of the cheekbone. Tease your hair and apply black lipstick.
