Apple's iOS mobile operating system has an auto-correct feature that auto-corrects misspelled words used in the iOS applications. This feature not only auto-corrects spelling, it learns through constant use, adapting to a user's slang usage and general unconventional word usage. Resetting this auto-correct feature will wipe the device's auto-correct memory, allowing you to build the keyboard dictionary from scratch. If you want to, you can do this in a few simple steps.

Skill level:
Moderately Easy

  1. 1

Tap the "Settings" icon on the device's home screen, followed by the "General" option.

  2. 2

Tap the "Reset" option on the "General" settings screen to view the reset settings.

  3. 3

Tap the "Reset Keyboard Dictionary" option, followed by the "Reset Dictionary" option to reset the iPhone's auto-correct dictionary.
