When you navigate Facebook, you might see a "Thumbs Up" symbol under a friend's comment or status update posting. This symbol means that a person "Likes" the posting. Every time you "Like" a posting, a "Thumbs Up" symbol appears near the bottom of the post and your name is added to a list of people who "Like" the post. If your Facebook privacy settings permit, a notice will appear on your profile informing your friends that you "Liked" the posting, allowing them to view the comment or status post.
