Xat is an online social networking website, and users can create their own chat boxes and chat groups. You can purchase and download applications and widgets, and purchase items from the Xat store. A chat box is different from a chat room. A chat box resembles the message window you see in Yahoo! Messenger or AIM Instant Messenger. If you would like to listen to your favourite music while chatting, you can put a playlist on a Xat chat box yourself.
- Skill level:
Log in to your Xat account on Xat.com. A search bar appears once you log in. Enter an artist or song title in the search bar and then press "Enter" on your keyboard. Results for that song title or artist will appear.
Click "Play" to play the song or bypass this option by adding the song to your playlist by clicking the "Plus" button. The "Plus" button resembles the "+" symbol. Repeat Step 1 to add more songs to your playlist.
Click "My Playlists" once you have compiled a playlist. "My Playlists" is at the top of the Xat Web page. You will see your playlist.
Click "Share" to fill in information for the playlist and then click "Get Code" to get the embedded code for the playlist.
Click the "Edit" link at the upper-right corner of your group chat. Enter your password for the group, scroll down to the media box on the page and then enter the embedded code you received from Step 3. Click "Save Changes" to put a playlist on a Xat chat box. The playlist will appear under the chat box. It may take a few minutes for it to display.
