How to Connect an IBM Thinkpad R52 to a Wireless Network

One important feature that comes with your IBM R52 laptop computer is the ability to connect wirelessly to the Internet. This is possible due to the wireless card in the computer. However, to access the Internet you must first connect to a wireless network. This can be done right from your computer's desktop.

    Click on the red "Start" tab on the bottom corner of the Thinkpad's desktop screen.

    Click "Control Panel," then click "Network and Internet." A new list of options will appear.

    Click "Network and Sharing Center," then click "Setup a Connection or Netowrk."

  4. 4

    Select the network you would like to join and enter the password when prompted. If there is no password protection, you will automatically be connected to the network.
