When you search for something or someone on Facebook, that information is stored on your computer for others to see. To delete your Facebook search history, clear the history of the corresponding Internet browser that you are using to view Facebook. This is a straightforward process that prevents others from seeing your Facebook search history on your computer.

Open the Firefox browser and click "Tools" in the menu bar located at the top of the browser window. Click "Options" to open its dialogue box.
Click the "Privacy" tab and click "Clear your recent history." A "Clear Recent History" dialogue box opens.
Click "Time range to clear." Choose "Everything" from the drop-down menu.
Click "Details" and put a check mark in the boxes beside "Browsing & Download History," "Form & Search History," "Cookies" and "Cache." Click "Clear Now." Click "OK" after everything is cleared. Restart Mozilla Firefox.
Launch Internet Explorer and click "Tools" in the menu bar at the top of the browser window. Click "Internet Options" to open its dialogue box.
Click the "General" tab and click "Delete" in the "Browsing history" section. A new dialogue box opens.
Check all the value boxes displayed. Click "Delete."
Click "Settings" in the "Browsing history" section and choose "View Files." A "Temporary Internet Files" window opens.
Highlight all the files in the "Temporary Internet Files" window. Press "Ctrl-A" and then press the "Del" key on your keyboard. All the files are deleted.
Close the "Temporary Internet Files" window and click "OK." Restart Internet Explorer.
