How to hide gridlines in openoffice

<p>OpenOffice.org is free software you can download from Oracle as an alternative to the Microsoft Office Suite. Its spreadsheet application, Calc, is similar to Microsoft's Excel. If you find grid lines in your spreadsheet distracting and wish to hide them. Calc allows you to do this by navigating through its menu bar.

    Open OpenOffice.org Calc. Click the Windows "Start" button in the Taskbar, click "All Programs," click the "OpenOffice" folder and then click "OpenOffice Calc." This opens the spreadsheet application.

    Select "Tools" in the menu bar at the top of the screen and select "Options" from the drop-down menu. This opens the "Options" window.

    Click the "+" sign next to "OpenOffice.org Calc" in the window to expand a list of choices. Click the "View" option.

    Click the check box next to "Grid lines" to uncheck it.

    Click the "OK" button at the bottom of the "Options" window. This hides the grid lines in your spreadsheet.
