How to Mention a List on Twitter

Twitter allows users to create lists that contain other Twitter users. The use of lists allows a user to view only the updates posted by users contained in a list. Lists can be followed in the same manner as individual users, and users can also reference lists in their posts. The method of referencing a list remains the same regardless of whether you created the list or the list was created by another Twitter user.

Instructions

    Log in to your Twitter account from your web browser or mobile device.

  2. 2

    Type the name of the user who's list you wish to reference into the "New Tweet" box using Twitter's "@"-referencing format; the username should appear similar to "@username."

  3. 3

    Add a forward slash after the username you've typed, then type the name of the list. The full reference should appear similar to "@username/List."

  4. 4

    Type the rest of the message you wish to accompany your list reference. Once the message is complete, click the "Tweet" button to submit it.
